For a Material Research project, I chose to work with Agar Agar since I was quite interested in biomaterials and bioplastics used for packaging. However while creating an overwhelming amount of different types of materials with just Agar Agar, Glycerin, water and one other ingredient I started thinking about how the mass of choices is the main problem of consumerism and overconsumption and whether a massive selection of choices of alternatives also plays into this problem.
I still created an archive that compares the materials on different scales, however, it’s meant to be consumed with caution.
