With a love for an imperfect human touch, Sahra Grete Becker walks the fine line between ‘more is more’ and ‘less is more’ within graphic design. While she mainly focuses on printed matter and typography, she loves exploring how to mix and match the analogue with the digital. <3

I had the opportunity to typeset and print business cards on an original Heidelberg letterpress. Working in the letterpress workshop at Kunsthochschule Weißensee Berlin, I used typefaces designed in the former GDR (where the school was founded). I chose Arabella (capitals) for my name and Super Buch Grotesk for the remaining text.
The process of setting the type manually was a meditative balance between relaxing and driving me absolutely crazy.
